    Plaquenil for lyme arthritis

Although I cant remember if it was referenced here as a treatment. /gov/pubmed/15617845 "Minocycline, tinidazole and hydroxychloroquine are reportedly capable of destroying both the spirochaetal and cystic L-form of B. It's a very common drug used for those with rheumatoid arthritis people take it for many years. Something is messing with my eyes, no doubt about it. Minocycline treatment started combined with hydroxychloroquine sulfate and the patient discharged with overall improvement." I haven't but it's often prescribed - AKA Plaquenil. It freaks me out because of it's crazy long half -life - 32-50 DAYS (not hours) So, if you want to come off of it...you're waiting a long time for it to clear out of your system.

I was just prescribed plaquenil to treat the cyst form of lyme. The usage of the drug says it is to suppress the immune system in the treatment of lupus. Why would you want to do this if you have lyme. I thought steriods and drugs that suppress the immune system make treatment much slower. I am reluctant to take it. Lyme arthritis, caused by the tick‐borne spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi 1, typically causes intermittent or persistent arthritis in a few large joints, especially the knee, for several years. Treatment recommendations have changed over time. My plaquenil post Plaquenil can make you completely blind! *Legitimate looking vitamins I take to help remediate it I took Plaquenil for over 13 years and it caused me and 6 in every 1000 patients, new research shows to have toxic maculopathy it caused. *re even if you quit taking the drug, it can continue to damage the eye until blindness occurs.

Ya rhuemeys love it because of it immunosuppressive qualitys ..mess up the eyes ...however some llmd say it inhibits the efflux pump of bugs to make it more succeptable to others abx ..what girlie said ..is 96 hr so a few day n ok but ya a month to clear the system?! Yes its used to reduce inflammation and make other abx's more effective. It can also mess with your eyes so you need to get them checked but I haven't run into anyone that's actually had eye problems from it. Thought that might be the case - hadn't seen it in any of his protocols that I find online. I recommend if you're going on Plaquenil to have a baseline test done. I think it tests our Peripheral vision - and you may not notice a change so don't wait for that to happen I failed Visual Contrast Sensitivity as can be expected after mold exposure.
